Norwalk Furniture Company proudly manufactures high quality custom upholstery in Norwalk, Ohio. Located halfway between Detroit and Cleveland on Lake Erie, the brand benefits from a tradition of family farming and manufacturing that has long supported the automobile and related industries. Norwalk may originate from humble beginnings, but today they operate a modern 440,000 square foot factory that employees 225 craftspeople, many of whom are second and third-generation artisans.

The next step in their growth journey was to accelerate their online presence and digital reach. Norwalk came to Trellis with a site that was underdeveloped and underwhelmingly basic. Norwalk furniture needed an agency partner that could guide them through enterprise eCommerce strategy all the way from design to development to execution.

Results

This was a complex M2 build, where our team executed everything from design all the way through development, and we were able to deliver a clean, modern visitor experience for their customers and sales reps alike. They used two different product customizer integrations to allow customers to choose from literally millions of options to design their dream furniture right on the site! We pulled in all this data using a Celigo integration to populate advanced product options within Magento.

The new site offers dynamic pricing, improves speed and maintenance, and a highly robust customizer that allows customers to create their own furniture natively on the site. This serves as an extension of the new BOPUS sales method that is sweeping across eCommerce.
